Earth Hour Spirit
It was almost a lonely day for me today not only because I don't have someone with me at home but because I don't know what to do. So, while I'm browsing my Facebook feeds I noticed that there are no continuous updates yet from my friends which is unusual. Then, I suddenly look over to one friend's status saying something like "...in a few minutes, its Earth hour." It tingles my curiosity and I immediately search the "earth hour." To my surprise, it's really the earth hour time because in my computer's clock - it's already 20:36. So, I immediately put my laptop in battery mode then without second thought I shut off our main electricity switch. Then, that's it! A complete silence I have around me.
I become filled with the Earth's spirit and it felt so good after an hour of silence and so much in-touch with the Holy One. I will never ever forget that moment and until now I really feel so much hype-up.
I'm not sure what is it for you but this year's Earth Hour has the most incredible spirit - in and with it.

I just saw God's kingdom in the simplicity of the lives of people here in Mt. Province where the saying "Simplicity is beauty." truly revealed to me and I love the feeling of in-love with the amazing God's creation, with the people (good and beautiful people inside), and most of all with the loving family of Falag-ey.

Its not only I witnessed it but I'm seeing and experiencing the greatness of the Lord most especially the unbelievable and overwhelming deeds of God on earth. So, in response to Him - I will no longer commit sin and I will continue His work that He entrusted to me.

I just reflected on these scriptures where Jeremiah's adversaries is somewhat like my hopes and dreams including my parents' for me. And I badly needing a determination to attain all of it - of course with sacrifices and so much love to put in it. Moreover, the most important is that your hopes and dreams are still with God's guidance and provision.
"Let your hearts be filled with My love and the joy that comes with it." -God

I thank God for revealing to me His BIGGER and WIDER plans in my service right now as He allowed me today to see it through the landscapes and views along the roads going to and from the first province of Northwestern Luzon - Pangasinan. I'm so grateful for the Lord allowed me and Tito Hermie to have a fellowship with the Family Ministry's Coordinators of Pangasinan. It was a very long day with a very long and joyful touch of God's people to both of us.

Today's gospel affirms the action of Full-Time Pastoral Workers from the start that he/she felt God's love up to the moment of decision to give his/her all and serve God with all of his/her might. The first touch that God pour upon on the blind man's eyes represents the moment that you felt God's greatness and the second touch is the moment you undergo and going through the missionary work - doing His mission both as privilege and responsibility.

"Does your religious acts bring you to your strengthened spirituality?"
This was the reflection question that the Priest gave during his homily. He also explained that a Religious Act is something you do to make other people see that you are in connection with God (e.g. praying rosary in Church, attending Mass, going to Novena, etc.) while Spirituality is all about your relationship to God. The Priest also said that Spirituality directly affects the Religious Act but Religious Act does not directly affects the Spirituality.
So, which is it for you to pursue - your religiosity or your spirituality?
