B.O.N.D.

"Everybody wants the B.O.N.D. with your friends."

Who doesn't want the Best Out of Nostalgic Days with your friends, ha? Well, of course yes - everybody wants it. It's so simple to say "this is the best moment I ever had" when you're having gimmicks together w/ your friends. I don't know but for me it's like when you plan to go out with your friends indeed it's very exciting most especially the moment you're doing the gimmick already.

Let say my experience which happened just recently. Actually we are trio in this barkada and we call one another either "bradikoy" or "dikoy." From those names, w/c comes from brother or brad and "koy" w/c means "ko" in Tagalog - there's a special treatment you can feel w/ just those names.

Well, going into what's the B.O.N.D. among us - the other one just celebrated his birthday recently and there you came the invitation to go in their place to have the celebration. I arrived first to their house then our other friend arrived after a couple of hours. As usual, we meet again as trio - talking some updates about one another and few side stories then, our celebrator ask if we could go already for cycling in few parts of Quezon Province. Then, we prepare for it. We change our clothes and gear up for cycling.

We started in one church near their house and then we also end our route to another church. It's like a bonding thru cycling with a pilgrimage tour as a package deal. =D

It was a very memorable experience even if it's hard - even the little upward part of the road takes much effort for you to move up with the bicycle. So much difficulties along the way but it's nothing because the bonding and the fellowship we shared with each other dominated those hardships.

All in all, we had a great day with endurance and passion to finish the route. It will not be the last but of course that's the beginning of new and exciting friendship among us.

Strange isn't it?

"You know, one person can make a difference."

This line said by an elderly man to Peter Parker while he's reading a news signage in front of a theater. It feels strange that I never thought God would speak through that movie. It's something you never expected, isn't it?

Going back to that line, its like God is talking to me with that dialog and He's telling me "You can make a difference." Obviously, it's not like Spiderman but as an ordinary person I felt I can make a difference with God who believes in me and trusted me.

However, I might be self-centered or have a less care to others sometimes or might be heart-broken that may lead me to revenge or hatred. As I said, I'm just an ordinary person who can do terrible things but I have a choice on my own - a choice to do the right thing. Maybe I'm not as credible as Mahatma Gandhi when I say, for you to rise above from your fall you should do this and do that. What I'm trying to say, it starts with you - within one's self and it should end by you - with your choice.

Of course, you should assess yourself first and as you realize the good and the bad you have been and have done - then reflect as you think what is the right choice for you to do. More importantly, turn to God and ask for forgiveness for all the terrible things you've done, then ask for strength and guidance for you to be led by Him as you continue your journey to life.

God speed!
=)

Means and Character

"It's not how much value or satisfaction you have after a long way of an accomplishment, but the quality of your means and character you used all through out."

Mission
Sunday, July 04, 2010 | 0 Comments
I'm feeling so tired this weekend, I don't know why but as soon as I flatten my back in our long chair I fall asleep and then I woke up asking myself "Should I still hear Mass?"

Its not that I haven't heard Mass but honestly I failed to start the Mass I attended this morning, so I started thinking of ways to make my week begin in a right way (I mean for me starting my week is to know and to understand the Gospel and also the message of God for me w/c begins every Sunday).

Then, I started to open my laptop (maybe it's one of my basic instinct =D) - check my mail, facebook, kfc website, and surf the internet. Well, after I felt I'm not going anywhere and saw the clock (that I cannot go to church already) - I decided to search Bishop Chito Tagle in FB. I found today's reading & gospel videos from their show in TV5. I downloaded it, then watched it.

Guess what I've got? I don't know but as soon as I got the flashback of what I've done & heard starting the morning Mass I attended - it was then I realized how more inspiring my talk would be if I started the Mass or even watched "The Word Exposed" by Bishop Chito Tagle.

Well I just got what I'm looking for, for me to be ready going back to my mission area. Those words came from Bishop Tagle are enough to say that I'm learning and will learn more things yet as I go on with my current work. And going back there, I will not be doubtful because I know I'm fully recharged and ready to go on mission. ; )
