Foolish VS. Wise
"FOOLISHness is taking your own decisions as right as it is, while being WISE is trusting all your decisions to God and let Him give you the right decision." -GB Labels: reflect on Share You, Share Me :D
I was once a dead-boy type of person wherein if you don't talk to me, I don't care if you look at me many times. And as if you would like to initiate a conversation, I just turn out my attention off you not to bridge that conversation. That's me! But whenever I look myself back then I just can't imagine how I became a Fulltime Pastoral Worker for CFC Community whose main role is to relate to other people and then somehow to be a source of inspiration for them. According to Joseph F. Girzone in his book Joshua and The Children, "The key to making friends is to care. When we care we touch other's heart and in our kindness heal their wounds. Kindness is the beginning of friendship." And for me Loving your Neighbor is serving other people and make them friends. Lastly, "True friends are those who bring you closer to God." "God always takes care of us. We all have work to do, and we must face each day bravely, knowing that God is always by your side. Even out of things that hurt He brings good. NEVER BE AFRAID WHEN YOU ARE DOING GOD'S WORK." -Joshua & The Children, Chapter 34 (page 208) Labels: reflect on Thought For You (7)
"'No, not seven times but seventy times seven times.' What Jesus was trying to do was not to issue an impossible commandment, but to offer the key to true inner peace. He came to bring peace to troubled souls and to show people how to live in a way that would not only lead them to God, but help them find a meaning to life that made sense. He was deeply concerned about people's inability to find peace. His secret which he lived himself, was in forgiveness, a forgiveness so complete that it never even allowed itself to take offense. Always try to understand why people say and do the things they do, the inner anguish that gives rise to those things, and then it is hard to take offense. Indeed, you can even pity them. You may be wary, so you can protect yourself, but you can still reach out and be a brother and sister to those people, never despairing of trying to heal their troubled, tortured souls. Jesus himself lived that way. He never took offense and his last words were 'Father, forgive them, they know not what they have done.'" -Joshua & The Children, Chapter 30 (page 182-183) Labels: reflect on Thought For You (6)

"Adults are sick with hatred and unforgiveness. It is a disease that has no cure, because people who hate need to hate and resist a cure because it means an end to hatred, which they cannot give up. That is why only children can solve the problems you are facing. When children unite in a common goal, the adult world is powerless to stop them. Adults are always at a loss to deal with the innocence of children. I realize you must all be concerned about what I am doing, but do not be afraid. It is the only way." -Joshua & The Children, Chapter 18 (page 97) Labels: reflect on Thought For You (4)
"God does answer our concerns. He speaks sometimes through things that happen and sometimes through others. On rare occasions He tells us in words or thoughts. The shy girl is like everyone. Every young person feels alone and unworthy. The key to making friends is to care. When we care we touch other's hearts and in our kindness is the beginning of friendship." -Joshua & The Children, Chapter 17 (page 86-87) Labels: reflect on Thought For You (3)
"They absorb everything and store it away. Later on it registers at a time in their lives when it will be needed. That's the way it is with the children." -Joshua & The Children, Chapter 15 (page 72) Labels: reflect on ABC (1)
A Boy Calms One night a boy had a terrible feelings inside him. He was confuse and feeling so bad with what's happening to him lately. He doesn't know: why does his long lost friend became aloof to him; why does he feel unworthy of his job; why does he feel he was to blame from all the arrangements in his job, that in fact all he has done is only ask; why does he feel his begging for support; why does he feel so wrong; and what kind of life ahead of him awaits. In the midst of the night, he pause, bow down, talk to God and ask "Do I have to cry for all of these? Does my tears deserve these? Why can't I have someone or somebody to comfort me? Am I lonesome? Am I nothing for those who know me? Do I have friends or just those people for the sake of the so-called 'friendship' are there if they just need me but not the other way around?" He really feel very lonely, so he tried to contact someone but suddenly when he had the chance to talk to that person, he just felt so shame and end up on his own. The only option he had is to offer everything to God. Then few minutes passed by, he then unconsciously fell asleep. As the morning came, he wakes up. Then, he felt that somehow almost all the negative feelings he had last night has gone. Labels: my Thought For You (2)
"You have rare gifts that God has given you, to bring an important message to those around you. God has given each of you something special that He wants you to share w/ others. You can see already the beautiful things God can work among you if you let Him. A few days ago you were strangers. You never thought you would be friends. Today you are friends. You help each other. You teach each other. You share w/ each other. And you have peace you never knew possible. That peace & that friendship can continue for many years & can change the lives of all around you, and can create a beautiful world for your children to live in. That's the beauty of God's love." -Joshua & The Children, Chapter 13 (page 64-65) Labels: reflect on Thought For You (1)
"You see, things are not necessarily what they appear to be. Always watch what happens & try to understand. There are strange things in life that look attractive on the surface but underneath can cause you harm. Do not be taken in by nice words or deceptive ideas. Think about them in the quiet of your nights, and when you are worried talk to God & ask Him for understanding. The devil still wanders around in sheep's clothing, trying to deceive God's little ones. Always be careful." -Joshua & The Children, Chapter 13 (page 61) Labels: reflect on Story of a Boy

You died Jesus but the source of life flowed out for souls and the ocean of mercy opened up for the whole world. O Fountain of life, immeasurable Divine Mercy, cover the whole world and empty Yourself out upon us. O Blood and Water which flowed out from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us. We trust in You. Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and the whole world (3x). Amen. Jesus, King of Mercy. We trust in You! Lord, we trust in You. For this moment, I would want to pray for all the people who are in the hospitals including those who have received Your healing and most especially for those who will receive Your Mighty healing. I also pray for the unity and love of one another most especially here in Philippines and to the leaders of this country. May You give them peace of mind and clean conscience for what they will plan and do for this country. May You continue to reign in their hearts and fill their souls of Your unfailing love. Lord, I also pray for the trust You've given me in this area You assigned for me. May You continue to strengthen me including all the Fulltime Workers all around the globe. Bless their lives and their families. Keep us safe and make us source of inspiration and hope to all Your people. I would also want to pray that may You continue to lead her to me through prayer, commitment, and love. And as You lead her, may You lead me also going to the path that we will meet someday as destined and planned as You written our story in Your book of Love. So that I can be able to be much prepared of that time You'll complete this prayer. Thank You for all the blessings and providence, You always shower upon us. Amen! Labels: my |
