Today's gospel affirms the action of Full-Time Pastoral Workers from the start that he/she felt God's love up to the moment of decision to give his/her all and serve God with all of his/her might. The first touch that God pour upon on the blind man's eyes represents the moment that you felt God's greatness and the second touch is the moment you undergo and going through the missionary work - doing His mission both as privilege and responsibility.

"Does your religious acts bring you to your strengthened spirituality?"


This was the reflection question that the Priest gave during his homily. He also explained that a Religious Act is something you do to make other people see that you are in connection with God (e.g. praying rosary in Church, attending Mass, going to Novena, etc.) while Spirituality is all about your relationship to God. The Priest also said that Spirituality directly affects the Religious Act but Religious Act does not directly affects the Spirituality. 

So, which is it for you to pursue - your religiosity or your spirituality?

Sirach 47:11

"Herod feared John, knowing him to be a righteous and holy man, and kept him in custody. When he heard him speak he was very much perplexed, yet he liked to listen to him."


* These are the following persons who are most probably not known to some of us:
- Nathan is the main character of the first reading.
- David is the one who said that song of praise.
- John the Baptist is the God-sent angel in the midst of Herod's reign.


One of them or most of them do have resemblance to each one of us here on earth. It is for us to embrace their values & characteristics whole-heartedly and share it to the ends of the earth.
